Free Parking for Sundial House, Lavender Cottage & Teal House
All our properties have free parking on-site for two cars apart from Sundial House, Lavender Cottage and Teal House due to their location on the seafront and the historic part of Lyme Regis. We provide one free parking permit per property for Woodmead Car Park which is open to the public and just a few minutes walk away.

Woodmead Car Park
Located on Hill Road, Long stay (location 7622)
Charges apply Monday to Sunday 8am-9pm (between 6 April and 31 October), and 8am-6pm (between 1 November and 5 April)

Payment options
You can pay for parking at the machines in each of the car parks. The machines will accept coins or card, or you can pay on your mobile via the Justpark app.

You will need the car park location number (7622), the duration you wish to stay, and the payment card’s three-digit security code.
Alternative Parking for Sundial House
1. Cobb Gate Car Park
For short term parking, Cobb Gate is the closest car park to Sundial House. If you can find a space, you can park for 20 minutes for 40p or 70p for an hour. This is useful if access along the cart road is blocked or difficult. You can walk from here to Sundial House to unload your things.
You can pay cash at the machine in the car park or use JustPark with location no. 6319.
2. Holmbush Car Park
The second closest car park to Sundial House is Holmbush Car Park. Prices have risen sharply in recent years making it more expensive for a week at £105 than Woodmead Car Park at £65.
Situated on the western side of town on the Sidmouth Road (A3052) and is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and the centre of town.

Similar to Holmbush Car Park is Charmouth Road Car Park which is also a Dorset Council car park.
Situated on the eastern side of town on the Sidmouth Road (A3052) and is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and the centre of town.

Electric vehicle charging
Both Holmbush and Charmouth Road car parks have electric vehicle charging and need to pay for parking while their vehicle is charging in an Electric Vehicle (EV) bay. However, your vehicle must be vehicle moved into a normal parking bay once it is charged and parking charges then apply. Please refer to car park signage for charges.
Parking fines will be issued to non-electric vehicles parked in an EV charging bay.

Out Of Town Parking – Park and Ride
There is also a Park and Ride service which operates from just outside Lyme Regis to the West, on the A3052 road to Rousdon. Unfortunately, it only operates during school holidays. Rates for the Park and Ride fluctuate with season, and pick up and dropp off outside the Cobb Arms Pub.
Disabled Parking
The West Dorset car parks, Holmbush and Charmouth Road, have some disabled parking bays but not many. If you are a blue badge holder you car park along the cart road which is accessed from Cobb Gate car park and is the road that runs alongside the pebbled beach.
Parking Close to the Beach – Cabanya & Monmouth Beach Car Park
If you want easier access to the beach then there is a car park at the bottom of Cobb Road, just West of the Cobb itself are two car parks called Cabanya and Monmouth Beach Car Park. There are around 200 parking spots here and each 2 hour period costs £2.00(when booking online or over the phone, car park code is 7621).
Town Centre Parking
There is an NCP car park situated on the main high street (Broad Street) in between Tesco’s and Boots. This is a much smaller car park, with approximately 50 parking spots, and has a minimum charge of £1.80 for one hour, with 1-3 hours costing £3.30, and 3-24 hours costing £4.00.Due to the situation of the car park larger vehicles cannot be accommodated here (when bookiing over phone or online, car park code is 9216).
There are also two car parks at the bottom of Lyme, situated directly opposite each other. Cobb Gate car park, a stones throw from the beach, can accommodate approximately 20 cars, whilst across the road can accommodate closer to 40. Both charge the same rates, and are as follows:

Parking For Larger Vehicles
Coaches, lorries, caravans and trailers have the choice of the two Long stay car parks, Holmbush Commercial with 10 Spaces and Charmouth Road with 5 spaces. Each hour costs £1.00, and overnight (9 p.m. until 8a.m) will cost £2.50
